Switch Series for Automotive Control Optimization from Diptronics

Today, cars are the most used mode of transportation in our daily lives, and a vehicle contains an assortment of control systems, such as gear control, ragtop, door latch & door lock, sunroof control, and many more. For these automotive controls to function they must be connected to a switch that has a good operating force and a long-life cycle. 

Introducing Diptronics’ switch series that optimizes system controls for automobiles: the ESH, the ESK, and the T6S. These switches are designed for the user to have seamless experience while driving. 

First in the collection is the ESK snap action switch. It is commonly used for motorcycle handlebars, charging systems, open and close door detection. 

The ESK snap switch has a small profile of 8.3×5.3×4.0mm perfect for sliding contact structures and has high contact reliability. Termination options include solder lug PCB pins and wire leads.  

It has an operating and storage temperature -40°C to a + 85°C and offers a mechanical life of one million life cycles in 10mA, 14V DC. The contact rating for this switch is 1mA, 5V DC, and has insulation resistance of 100MΩ min. 

Next, is the ESH series. It is a Print Circuit Board (PCB) mounted detector switch available in both through-hole and surface mounted termination options. It provides full travel around 1.5mm with an electrical make around 0.3mm.  

It has an operating and storage temperature -40C° to a + 85C° and has a life cycle rating of 300,000 cycles in 10mA, 14V DC, or 200,000 cycles in 0.1A, 30 V DC. The contact rating for this switch is 1mA, 5V DC, and has insulation resistance of 100MΩ min.  

This switch is perfect for automotive applications like electric park brake and automatic door lock. This switch can also be used for security devices, medical equipment, and HVAC.  

Lastly, is the T6S Series. It is a PCB-mounted sealed tactile switch available in through-hole, right angle, and surface mounted termination options. It provides middle stroke travel of 1.05 mm and there are two operating force options to choose from (3.0N or 3.6N). 

This switch is designed to integrate into the steering wheel with the aim of enhancing clarity in use and preventing accidental operation. It is also used in car audio which offers low-sound long travel and positive feedback. 

It can perfectly operate between -40C° to + 106°C and has a life cycle rating of 300,000 cycles. The contact rating for this switch is 0.5~50mA, 24V DC, and has insulation resistance of 10MΩ min. 100V DC. 

All the series carries the IP67 rating, guaranteeing high protection against dust and immersion to water for a certain time or water pressure is below a certain standard to ensure that it is not damaged due to flooding. 

These switches are Lead-free and Halogen-free. It underwent several testing and inspections and has gained certification from the ULS prospector, the REACH, and the RoHS, ensuring that these products comply with health legislation and are approved for mass production.
